17 October, 2010 Dingo's PDR willl be closed for the rest of 2010. Perhaps you might know of the "royal 'we." It is said that Queen Elizabeth once criticized Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on a certain policy the Tory government was putting into force. The Queen is reported to have said, "We do not approve." The Queen did not have a mouse in her pocket, but she was referring to her own opinion. We here at Dingo's PDR often fall into that trap, because there really is no "we," here, only me. We ceased to be "we" earlier this year, when I closed the shop and released my last employee. The economy has forced me to do a number of things I wish I didn't have to do, including downsizing. Another is facing the hard fact that my business, even in a good year, stops after Christmas and does not pick up until March 1. Not to whine or make excuses, but I have decided that the best course this year will be to take advantage of a number of invitations to work in Phoenix, Arizona following a hail catastrophe earlier this month. To that end, Dingo's PDR will be closed for the remainder of October, November, and perhaps December. We -- oops, I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you. If you would like a referral, please feel free to call and I will see about finding someone to assist you. |
